Lauren's Quest for Quiet
Story
Hi
In the month of October I will be participating in Quiet Quest, an initiative by The Yoga Foundation.
I will be tracking my progress at www.yogaishappiness.com
The challenge is to spend 30 minutes in silence for 30 days without all the usual distractions of the modern day. No electronic devices, music, tv, radio, talking etc.
For those of you who know me well, over the past few years I have suffered anxiety and being alone with my mind and thoughts at times drove me and those on the receiving end of my meltdowns crazy!
The practice of yoga has really changed that for me and I'd love your support for a cause that will pay for weekly yoga classes for over 100 people with cerebral palsy or mental illness, for 1 year.
Please support me in the form of donation. The money I raise will pay for yoga-based tools to be taught to Australians living with hardship.
The goal for Quiet Quest 2013 is to raise $40,000.
You can easily make a secure donation by clicking the 'Dontate' button.
All donations over $2 are tax deductible and you will be issued with a Tax Invoice receipt via email as soon as you make a donation.
Please also consider becoming a Quiet Quester yourself or inviting your friends to be become a Quiet Quest team: www.quietquest.com.au.
Thanks so much for your support and for making a difference in the lives of people living with hardship!

Activity
The Yoga Foundation
The Yoga Foundation believes more people can benefit from yoga, especially people who have least access to it because of their social circumstances or health conditions. We teach and share the benefits of yoga for maintaining good health, preventing illness, and supporting the allied health professions and the disability sector.
Our approach is inclusive and practical. Just $50 will enable a person with mental health problems to learn movement, breathing and meditation techniques that will improve their health and wellbeing every day.
